Okay, I realize the first two shots are not the best being that it's night time here, however I wanted to take a couple of photos now of where I am up to on a few of my projects. First up is my Christmas Quaker Sampler - yes I know, not much progress being made there, actually hadn't touched it in a couple of months ( insert chargrin grin) - so thought I had better put a few stitches in to stop the feeling of guilty neglect, and you know it's not the fact that I don't love the sampler cause I do, it's actually the HDF silk I'm using to stitch it with that is annoying the heck out of me, well the silk itself is lovely, however... it does not give me the coverage that I like and I do like good coverage, I'm using two strands over two on 32 count and I really have to work with the thread to get the coverage I like not to mention that it twists itself a lot, hard to get the two threads to lie flat next to each other - so live and learn and all that - next time I know if I use the silk again on another project, go with their premium floss twice the thickness!
Heartstring Samplery, Permit Me Not To Stray - I think I could quite happily stitch all of Beth's Patterns, and who know's, perhaps I will?
One of Beth's freebies - Grace - changed the colours to suit my tastes.
Heartstring Samplery - Grace - free pattern.
I finally gave in and ordered Violets Blue by Blackbird Designs, should be arriving any day now - so exciting!
As always, love from me to you!
Amanda
Wonderful, beautiful stitching you have going on there. Great choices.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching! Love your choice of colours on Grace :)
ReplyDeleteHooray! That may be the first time I've seen my Grace freebie stitched up. I like your color choices.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet stitching xxx
ReplyDeleteOoohh, the silk might be annoying but it's looking beautiful! And great progress on your other pieces too :D
ReplyDeletePermit Me Not to Stray is beautiful! Your Grace freebie is so pretty, looks like thistle flowers.
ReplyDeleteLove all your stitching!
ReplyDeleteThe freebie turned out so cute in your choice of colours!
Lovely progress so far and I could easily stitch all of Beth's designs too! I think I have this freebie from her site. It's such a pretty design. I love thistles! Glad you got BBD's violets! That's another one I need to get too!!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely stitching, Amanda--the Grace freebie is new to me. You did a lovely job on yours :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching, Amanda!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress. I have the same issue with HDF, I finished my piece, but it was not a nice stitch. Thanks for the freebie link.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great freebie, Amanda. Love your progress on the Christmas Sampler - unfortunately I have come to a bit of a halt with mine as I have made an error but for the life of me I cannot work out where it is and how to fix it! So annoying!
ReplyDeleteI love Beth's designs and have several in my stash. I have yet to order this one and it's looking so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Quaker is looking great too. I use the HDF and found through experience that I should always use the premium.I love them and I'm currently using them on my Fruit of the Spirit sampler.
