Quaker diamond update

I'm going to have to put this on my frame as my Qsnap is just not big enough!  Feeling a bit lazy about it tho as already have something basted onto my frame and don't really want to take it off, guess I need to buy more rods then..

Bought two new books on Goldwork with Silk Embroidery, just browsing them for now as my youngest is 6 months and I don't really have the time, but once he's off to daycare, hopefully..

Also, my magazine showed up in the mailbox, well almost.. it was actually thrown onto my garage floor, but eh' .. close enough..

Enjoy the rest of your day!

  2. Beautiful stitching on the quaker diamonds! I just found your blog thru Lois's and those diamonds caught my eye. Your afghan hound is gorgeous, and your cat Wasabi too :)
    Have a great day!

  5. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Santa's List is definitely hard work. I'd got out of the habit of stitching large pieces. It's soul destroying when you spend hours and hours stitching and it barely looks like there has been any progress! lol.
Lots of people have commented on my tree that I hang ornies on. It wasn't intended for that purpose, it is supposed to have family photos hanging from it. I bought it in Chicago many years ago and carried it back with me as hand luggage on the aeroplane. It was a real pain but I'm so glad I did it!
Wow - 4 children? Hats off to you! 2 children is hard work! I would love another baby. I once visited a clairvoyant who predicted I'd have 2 boys and a girl, so who knows what's ahead?!

  6. Nice progress on Quaker Diamonds! I've got into the habit of stitching in hand no matter how large the design is because I could never get comfortable having the fabric on anything. It does mean that I've got lots of wrinkles to iron out when it's done and that can be a pain in the neck! My three are all grown now but when they were small I remember how much I used to love grabbing a bit of stitching time when I could!
